Visiting Student Rates
PMAAI caters to interstate and international students wishing to continue their training while away from home, whether visiting briefly to attend a seminar held at PMAAI or embarking on a travelling+training holiday.
To be eligible for the visiting student rates scheme you must, at a minimum, meet the following criteria:
- Reside outside of Queensland. Visiting student rates apply only to residents outside of Queensland.
- Intend to train as a visitor for no more than 3 months. Durations longer than 3 months are not considered to be ‘visiting’ and requires applicants to become normal PMAAI students.
- Visiting students must complete an application form, sign a release from liability form, and have completed the PMAAI interview process.
If PMAAI deems you eligible under the visiting student rates scheme the choices of rates available are:
- $100 for unlimited classes over a 2 week period; or
- $135 per month for a maximum duration of 3 months. Unlimited classes during paid period.

All visiting students must comply with PMAAI rules and regulations. This includes wearing PMAAI uniforms in all training sessions. Uniform costs are not included in the visiting student training rates. PMAAI has available for purchase a range of appropriate uniform clothing to suit individual style and comfort. Local Accomodation
The following locations are local to PMAAI. The listings below are a guide to help kickstart your search for local accomodation and are not an endorsement by PMAAI. Please use your own discretion when deciding on accomodation to ensure you are choosing what is best-suited to your particular needs and desires.
Shangri-La Gardens – 10 minutes’ drive. A popular wedding and general accommodation location. Walking distance to the Wynnum West shopping centre and food outlets.
Pelicans Nestle Inn – Not to be confused with the Nestle Inn Tourist Village. The Pelicans Nestle Inn is located about 15 minutes’ drive from PMAAI. Located directly on the Wynnum foreshore, this places you as close to Moreton Bay as you can get without getting seawater in your training boots. One block away from the Bay Terrace take-away district, shopping, and eateries.
Waterloo Bay Hotel – Walking distance to the foreshore, Bay Terrace shops, and eateries.
Wynnum Anchor Motel – Almost on the foreshore. A 2-minute stroll to the waterfront and 10 minutes’ walk to the Bay Terrace shops.
Koala Resort Motel – A 5-minute drive to PMAAI or Capalaba shopping centre.
